This dryer performs well. The one issue I have is that the lint catcher is awkward in that it pulls out at a weird angle and lint/dust flies about.

A lot of the one star reviews complained about this dryer not getting hot. They said it took forever to dry their clothes. Because it had the features I wanted , I bought it anyway along with an extended warranty just in case. I am so glad I did buy it. I love this dryer. It gets plenty hot. Most of the time I use the low temperature setting. My clothes dry very very quickly. I didn't know if I would like the drop down door but It is great too. No more accidentally dropping small items on the floor. It has been many months since I purchased it and there have been no problems.

Fair price, like the door design latch opening downward vs sideways as it catches clothes I might drop. Machine is also pretty quiet and does the task.

The dryer doesn't dry as good as my previous dryer. Even thought there's two heat setting, only one works best.

All good regarding drying, but the filter on the top is not convenient and brings dust out when pulled out for cleaning. Also, when the filter is pulled out, the metal of the dryer space is very sharp and it is easy to get cut when trying to clean the dust.

It™™s brand new and makes an annoying high pitched whistle. I had a repair guy come out but of course it didn™™t make the noise right away so he didn™™t even try to look at it. Only makes the noise when heat is running so it could be dying already.

Gets the job done, simple and no crazy tech included. The electric heater move from gas has shown slighty slower drying times but overall more savings if you're on solar.
In addition, the cool down feature is not great for specific fabrics. Just keep an eye on how you want to dry your specific fabrics. 4 out of 5 stars is a fair rating.

I purchased this in March 2025 and it worked great at first. A little over a year later, a noise started developing (would come and go), then in July 2026 the motor blew out. I attempted to contact the warranty department but since it was past the one year manufacturer's warranty, they couldn't do anything but "offer" me to pay for an additional warranty at almost $400 a year or a one time service for the one time price of almost $400. The ten year limit warranty doesn't cover much of anything and only covers the parts. Needless to say, I purchased this initially thinking that Whirlpool/Maytag was a good brand that would last a while but it seems not to be the case anymore.

I am now looking at a 2nd repair for this Whirlpool for this 4 year old electric dryer. I'm not happy...and very surprised at the awful qualify of this appliance.

It doesn't dry well! I have to run it for 2 hours sometimes on high and clothes are still not completely dry. Also there is a lot of moisture (actual water droplets) on the door after one hour of drying on high. I've never seen that. The vent is collecting lint on the opposite side of the vent which is strange too. It's the worst dryer I've ever owned! I hope it's fixable...OR I will have to deal with it until I can purchase a new one.

I bought my second whirlpool dryer after 24 years of buying/using my first one. So satisfied and happy with this purchase, price, quality, performance, plus my $50 rebate that I received already. I would have loved the lint filter inside the dryer, just like my older one, but is ok.

The price was reasonable, it dries our clothes efficiently, and doesn™™t make much noise. Since it is atop down door, it is very easy to put the laundry into the dryer

Product does the job but they do not stay nice. I live in an apartment so they aren™™t even in the basement and the paint is all peeling off the top. I got this 6 months ago and whirlpool will not do anything about it. I would recommend getting another brand because we have had other appliances for 30 years that never peeled like this. Very disappointed wish I had gone with someone else.

Maybe it's my dryer vent set-up, but clothes are taking a long time and several cycles to dry. I have to use a periscope vent set-up; that may be the problem. We're not able to effectively use the automatic settings; trying the longest drying setting on manual cycles. The LG I had before buying this Whirlpool took a long time to dry as well, but not as long as my current dryer.

I have had a similar dryer from Whirlpool in the past that lasted 15 years and is still going. I moved house and hope my new one lasts just as well! It™™s very simple to use, no bells and whistles but gets the job done efficiently!

Been using this dryer about a month now and it works great! I had the same or similar model Whirlpool dryer for the past 19 years before it quit running. Instead of wasting money on Service Repairs on such an old dryer. I decided to just purchase a new one because it was such a great price! Purchasing it through Costco was awesome! They hauled away my old dryer and installed the new dryer!

We needed a new dryer, as our high end one had started making very loud noises and taking forever to dry clothes. We bought this basic model and are mostly happy with it. I do wish there was a medium high temperature option. I'm also not fond of how the lint goes all over the top of the dryer when you take out the lint trap to clean it.

I bought this dry about a 3 weeks ago. I like it cause all I wanted was a basic dryer. You put your clothes in set the dryer to low, med or high and then turn on. There are not to many that are that simple now a days.

I bought this 17 months ago, specifically because if design. I had the rollers replaced at 13 months as they made a weird noise. The technician said they were "bad rollers". It has been running perfectly since.

This dryer is perfect for our needs as a family of four! With two young kids, we have a lot of laundry to do and this dryer fits a lot. It dries everything in one cycle and it has basic controls which is exactly what we wanted.

Bought as a replacement for older dryer, itʻs an economy model, no real extra bells or whistles. Works great on all cycles, but is really loud. Lower quality motor and pulleys, no sound dampening, but at the price point very wel worth it.
