We had just gotten the Range and it was all powered up, we took off the plastic wraps on the stove. I did as the representative suggested and turned the oven up to 500 degrees to burn off the manufacturing oils. Good thing we had the windows open and the fans running. 25 minutes into the burn a loud POP goes off and the oven is dead, plug outlet and plug were fine and powered, the breaker was fine. Called the customer service line, he said it was most likely the thermal fuse. Not in my range for repairs, nor any chance of that for a brand new applaiance. It came down to getting a refund or replacement, either way it didn't add up or matter, it was going to take a week either way. Fully disappointed, no cooktop, no oven for a week.

Just started using it, have used the regular oven once, was unaware that it would smoke like that on first use, found out on google that it was normal. Top burners are fine, had to get used to more efficient heating elements that were not all that good on my last range. Also would like suggestions on how to better clean heating surface.

As a senior citizen, I do not have a home computer system with a printer which you have to have to print off the PDF manual. I have had the range for about a month and have been quite happy thus far. Still learning all of the technology on it which has been some nice surprises. The bottom drawer is smaller and not as strong as my last stove that was over 20 years old and still working just fine.

Product door seal not installed correctly. The people who delivered the oven installed it and started the oven before I could check inside. Said it needed a 30 min burn in before use. Three days later I noticed it called the store I purchased from and they said it was up to manufacture for repair because I didnt purchase the extended warrant. Three days old. Unable to bake for christmas. Should be fixed some time in January?

A Great Glass Top Electric Stove

If you've ever bought something online and went to the reviews for the "opinion" of others, you may agree that many love to submit a review shortly after getting an item. Those reviews are like a "first date". While it may go well, it doesn't guarantee a positive future with that person. So with that, my review is after 30+ days with the stove. The packaging was impressive. Shy of the use of some plastic (as appropriate) the rest of the container was mostly dense cardboard to mimic the wooden box shipping containers we see, and is 100% recyclable. The install went by fast. I ordered the appropriate 220v chord for my outlet and connecting was easy. They kindly use that film that looks "shrink wrapped" on the parts you don't want scratched. That was also located on the front bar before the glasstop begins. That one was so tightly installed, I didn't even know it was on there until after using the oven, the heat helped the edges to curl up and expose it's presence. I am new to glass tops and coming from the "usual" coil design electric stove we all know, the element under the glass is tightly wound, but thinner wire. This allows this stove to heat up faster than the thick coil design. I really love the dual burner settings for the 2 spots in the front. It saves money when using a smaller pot/pan on the front ones since you can just heat the inner circle. With baking, I'm a pizza guy and a pizza stone always lives on the bottom rack. This oven has no coils on the bottom so I was concerned with a crispy crust. To my pleasant surprise, it still got crispy while evenly cooking all over, as to heat from the bottom up. I also tried the air fryer. I've never had one. I really like that this does not require a heat up time. I was pleased with that feature. Overall, I am happy with it. The user manual is mostly online, so plan to go to a website about that. The paperwork included is all about the typical product warnings, regulation and set-up/install instructions. The website was nice, and the "30 sec." instructions just helps to fine-tune what you already know about electric stoves. Whirlpool recommends the "Affresh" brand stove top cleaning product. I did get some and it helps to polish off any burnt on food from spill overs and things. Just remember not to drop or drag your cookware on it, because it's glass and you could risk cracking or scratching. If you can avoid that I think you will be fine for years to come...at least that's my plan!!:-)
