Hello Customer Service, I purchased my 25.1Cu.Ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator-Stainless Steel on April 7,2022 - ONLY (4) YEARS AGO, AND NOW THE HINGE BRACKET ON TOP of the refrigerator door that hold the refrigerator door onto the box is CRACKED, this is ( UNACCEPTABLE ) and (DISAPPOINTING) with Whirlpool product. (The door has NO support hold) . For years I've invested in Whirlpool products because I trusted in their workmanship and longevity.
Years ago Whirlpool appliance lasted 20-30 years , today's appliances has 1/2 of the 20 years lasting, However, the refrigerator I purchased door broke in 4 YEARS UNACCEPTABLE - THIS refrigerator had to be ALREADY DAMAGED when delivered to me, because in (4) years the door hinge CRACKED - This is A MAJOR MANUFACTUR DEFECT and, Should NOT have been delivered to me. I am requesting Whirlpool to fix the door, or provide a replacement comparable refrigerator at NO COST to (ME) the customer. OR If the original refrigerator door cannot be fixed - Recompense - to issue a FULL REFUND OR PARTIAL REFUND. Thank you for your WHIRLPOOL SERVICE - I HAVE A PICTURE OF THE BROKEN/CRACKED DOOR HINGE. We've had this fridge for a couple of months now. It looks great (although it's easy to smudge the finish). It keeps food cold the way it should. I'd be giving it a higher rating but for one thing: the noise. I went through the reviews and saw quite a few comments about noise so I expected there to be some. But I have to admit that it's noisier than I expected. It was that way from day one, so it's not like it's an issue with dust on the compressor or something. We have another property with a different Whirlpool fridge and it's pretty quiet. So why is this one so noisy? Come on, Whirlpool, you can do better! I think you should do a recall and add some sound insulation around the compressor or, alternatively, replace the compressor with a different version that is quieter. I'd like to hear your thoughts on. My 90 day return period is coming up later this month and I need to make a decision soon. I don't really to go that way, but the buzz from this refrigerator is crazy.

Lots of space inside, owing partially to the absence of a water filter, icemaker, and water dispenser, which we wouldn't have used anyway. Food on the fridge side is keeping well without freezing, and the freezer is fine. We don't notice any excessive noise. After delivery we added another fridge shelf and fridge door bin, from alternative sources.

Fridge works great. Two problems: 1. It is LOUD. When it was new about a month old, it was ok, then it became louder and louder. 2. A shelf is missing. The fridge has space for 4 shelves, they send only three with it, even the manual shows only three shelves coming with it. When you open the fridge side it looks like a smiling hockey player missing the two front teeth. We have to buy the fourth shelf, I kid you not. Glad we don™™t have to buy the doors and the compressor separately too.

Online research and repairmen's recommendations led us to Whirlpool. Two points never mentioned are the very loud compressor and the temperature variance in the freezer. Our former refrigerator, a Samsung, had a decibel level of 30. This refrigerator's average is 37 decibels when the compressor runs. Quiet it is not. Second, the freezer's internal temperature has ranged from 14 degrees Fahrenheit to -5 degrees- all in one day. Our stand alone freezer has a constant temperature, as does the top freezer in our garage fridge. We are disappointed. I do not recommend this refrigerator.

Don™™t waste your time or money! Very disappointed in this refrigerator. Brand new, I™™ve had it for a month and have had to call whirlpool twice because it stops cooling! Both fridge and freezer. The soonest they could come out is a week! 7 days! They want us to figure out what to do with breast milk in a broken fridge for a week! Ridiculous and completely just a bad product! The lady we spoke to on the phone couldn™™t care less about our babies milk. How can a brand new product just stop working twice! They also had a terrible delivery and didn™™t put it all together right and had to come out a second time for that too. Absolutely terrible experience and would not recommend this product to anyone.

Very thankful that this comes with no ice/water features. We love side by side but hate dispensers and ice makers.
Negatives are it is noisier than I think it should be and there are several downgrades from our 18 year old side by side Amana. It is, however, the only side by side w/o dispensers or icemaker that would fit in our space, so very happy it exists.

GREAT second refrigerator! Our old one in the garage was just not consistent in keeping things as cold as we like and we decided to get one that doesn't have an ice maker, so that we can maximize storage space and we are very happy with this purchase!
It's a solid refrigerator, does a good job of keeping both freezer and refrigerator cold (although it did take over 30 hours to really show how cold it could become - and this was during moderately cool weather (40's - 60'sF here in Southern California).
Really enjoy not worrying about the food in there! Only improvement is that it is either MISSING a shelf OR they intentionally, removed a shelf on the refrigerator side as there are moldings in the side for a shelf, but no shelf is there! STRANGE!

I bought approx 1 month ago. When you pull out the bins, it's plastic on plastic and its not a smooth pull out. I wish this product had notches continuously on the refrigerator door and for the refrigerator shelves so I could space these out more evenly then the choices given. I bought this without the water and ice dispenser and this has given me additional space in the freezer ( since on our prior refrigerator, we would not use the ice in the quantity that was made- it works better to use the "old fashion" ice trays.)

1. The unit moves every time we open the door due to the roller/wheel at the bottom of the unit.
Suggestion: There should be a "locking switch" to lock the roller to prevent it from moving when the unit is stationed.
2. Is the door exterior panel real "stainless steel"? It's either faulty or not true stainless, because there is hand-scratch print all over the handle area after only been 3 weeks; I can not imagine what would it look like in the long run.

Have not seen a refrigerator without use of water for 40 or 50 years. Am glad, no fuss. Ice cubes are enough for this single guy. Space good. Easy to see all and arrange to suit both refrigerator and freezer. Simple, clean looking and easy to clean. All good. But the temperature management is beyond me, and not available for the unit I have.

This will be our 4th refrigerator of this specific model that we received within the past 3 years. I would not recommend this product to anyone. I would however, like to thank Abt Electronics for their help through the extended warranty service they provided to us. Service on their end was exceptional. Shame on Whirlpool for making substandard products with one goal in mind, planned obsolescence.

My refrigerator was delivered about a month ago. Had a frustrating time with delivery. Rescheduled 3 times. Did not know stainless steel meant fingerprints I cannot get off without using a harsh chemical. Also, now it is freezing items in the refrigerator wall next to the freezer.
I am very disappointed in this refrigerator!!!! Wish I could return it.

Bought this side by side refrigerator about 3 weeks ago. Wish I had bought it years ago. It is so roomy inside. Everything is visible and easy to reach. I am especially impressed with the freezer section. It holds much more than bottom freezer on my old frig. Everything in the freezer is easy to find and easy to get too. Both the refrigerator and freezer sides have big bins on the bottom shelf. They are easy to pull out and convenient to get into.

Purchased this refrigerator 5 months ago. It is nice with good space inside and freezer. The fingerprint free stainless holds a lot of prints. The motor is very loud when the compressor kicks on. One other thing that could turn into a problem is the freezer tends to cycle down enough to cause frost on the items. Hopefully this gets figured out. Whirlpool is a great brand and I would buy them again. I have a Whirlpool Dryer going into its 28th year!

I had a top-freezer Whirlpool refrigerator that lasted 17 years and never had a single problem. Based on this past experience I purchased a Whirlpool again because I wanted a side-by-side without water dispenser and ice maker.
The Good...
1) Has ample space.
2) Has sufficient door shelves and inside shelves.
3) Does not have an ice maker and water dispenser.
The Bad...
1) It is LOUD when it runs and it runs pretty often. My earlier Whirlpool was much quieter than this one. This is consistent with what others have reported.
2) The crisper drawers are cheaply made. They don't sit flush with the edge of the shelf and there is a gap between the shelf and the drawer lip. This seems like poor quality control checks.
3) The crisper drawers don't slide in and out smoothly like my previous Whirlpool. They stick so have to be careful to not break them.
4) The stainless-steel finish is a fingerprint magnet. It's very difficult to keep it clean.
5) No deli drawer like my previous Whirlpool.
It's less than a month since I bought it. Hoping it will run for years without giving any issues.

It has been about a week since delivery. Went from a small fridge to this one which is a huge improvement in size and functionality. The only complaint we have is the noise from the motor or compressor. There is a noticeable vibration noise that can be heard, otherwise this was a good choice for our needs

Purchased in late September and it was delivered in early October. Added an extra shelf and this refrigerator is top of the line. Left it set at the recommended temperature setting. Keeps an even temperature at 38 degrees. Just how I like it. I did not get the automatic ice maker because I don't have a water connection available Ice trays are convenient for my needs. I will monitor my electric bill to see if it makes any difference. Great!!! so far. I usually only purchase Whirlpool appliances. Can't beat the reliability!

We really like this refrigerator with one caveat, thus the reason for 4 instead of five stars. We read the reviews before we bought it and it was mentioned that it is rather noisy. We have to agree. We bought it as a replacement for the basement so it is not a bother for us but I would not recommend it for your main refrigerator. for the price it is an exceptional fridge if you discount the noise.

I am mostly pleased with my refrigerator. However, I am dissappointed that the finish shows all fingerprints and is difficult to clean marks. After my experience with my previous refrigerator, I specifically asked for a no fingerprint finish and was assured that this model and finish would comply with my request. It did not.

I've had my new fridge for almost 4 weeks and am happy with it. -- (My previous fridge was a French-door style, freezer on the bottom, and a malfunctioning ice-maker. Freezer items were all piled on top of each other, and water from the ice-maker dumped into said freezer and ...froze.) What I wanted was simplicity. A refrigerator and a freezer, no fancy gadgets, no ice-makers that fail, and that's exactly what this new fridge is. I have a lot more space now that there's no massive ice maker taking up a 5th on the side with the fridge. The shelves on the freezer side allows me to see everything in there. It took me a little reorganizing to get used to the layout, because it was very different from my former fridge. I found an ice cube container from a long ago fridge was helpful in holding small items in the freezer, and I found a small shelf to help me organize on the bottom shelf of the fridge just above the crisper drawers. Since I worked that out, I've been very satisfied. In some reviews people have spoken about the noise of this model. It does hum a little, but honestly, with normal noises of the day, I don't really notice it. It's nothing I would complain about. Some reviews have also mentioned that the wheels don't lock. That could be a problem if you have uneven floors. When I pulled on the fridge handle once, the fridge did pull forward about an inch. I just pushed it back. For me it's not a problem, in fact, I'm glad I'll be able to pull the fridge out to clean behind it. Overall I consider this fridge to be very good.

My husband and I bought this unit because of Whirlpool's quality reputation (this unit replaces our 16+ years-old Whirlpool), AND BECAUSE IT DOES NOT HAVE WATER OR ICE MAKER IN IT (although a low-price converter kit can be purchased separately if desired). We were looking for simplicity, and prefer to make ice cubes the "old-fashioned" way.
